Staff at Ausherman Properties, the Ausherman Family Foundation and High Glen Gardens were honored to participate in United Way’s Day of Action on October 3. For our project, our group provided landscaping, grounds clean up and painting services at the Thurmont Historical Society’s building at 11 North Church Street.
The historical society, an all-volunteer organization, focuses on fostering interest in the history of Thurmont and surrounding community. The building dates to the 1820s and houses collections including a 50 year library of the Catoctin Enterprise, the area’s local newspaper between 1940 and 1991. Don’t miss it at Thurmont’s Color Fest!
